Responsible for managing the EHS risk for the enterprise thru the Ethics and Compliance Program. Specific work includes providing resources to review new or modified regulations and their impacts to Caterpillar facilities, understanding the internal EHS risks, development of policies and procedures to mitigate the identified risks, and providing communication and training. Also responsible for conducting EHS compliance assessments globally and reporting trends and material findings to the Chief Compliance Officer. Other work includes providing EHS support to the Internal Auditing and Advisory Services group for their EHS auditing program. Process owner for EHS integration of mergers and acquisitions and managing the Caterpillar EHS Assurance Manual which sets minimum EHS expectations for all facilities globally.

Responsible for EHS management for ten Caterpillar facilities in a regional position. Facilities range from engine assembly to the enterprise research and development technology center. Work includes: (1) ensuring legal compliance with applicable regulations as well as conformance to enterprise EHS procedures, (2) providing programs and processes to drive environmental improvements and reduction in injuries, (3) developing and executing an EHS strategy, (4) leading a team of EHS supervisors and professionals in supporting the facilities

Responsibility for environmental management program at the Mossville Engine Center which machines and assembles diesel engines. Work included:(1) ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and enterprise policies and procedures(2) driving improvements in recycling, energy reduction, and water use reductions.(3) maintaining the environmental management system including conformance to ISO 14001(4) supervising an EHS Professional and managing environmental contractors at the site.

Member of the Caterpillar Corporate EHS Environmental team. Work included:(1) Due Diligence work for the Corporate mergers and aqusitions team. Led property environmental evaluations for M&A targets to ensure no environmental impacts and evaluated any recognized environmental conditions for their potential impacts to the project.(2) integrated mergers or acquisitions into the Caterpillar EHS systems(3) handled remediation project of a former Caterpillar facility(4) provided global support for the Caterpillar facilities in waste disposal, energy efficiency, environmental compliance, and conformance to enterprise policies and procedures.(5) conducted global audits of Caterpillar facilities to ensure conformance to enterprise policies and procedures.

Responsibility for all aspects of the environmental and facility maintenance programs. Managed four direct reports and twenty three union maintenance employees on a 24/7 schedule. Created and maintained budgets and capital forecasts for facility equipment replacement or improvements. Improved the preventative maintenance tracking process and scheduling to ensure maintenance work was completed as required. Monitored energy consumption and developed plans for reducing energy use including lighting upgrades, HVAC scheduling, chiller upgrades, and air hander cleaning. Managed project to upgrade compressor system controls and rebuilds. Coordinated electrical substation maintenance to include cleaning, meter installation, and installation of air conditioning for pressurization. Created substation switching procedure and conducted training exercises in the event of losing one of the main facility power feeds. Installed quick connections for temporary compressors as contingency for any compressor failures or outages. Managed parts crib closely to ensure that spare parts needed are in stock and inventory is at appropriate levels. Created asset log with locations.
