I started as a Volunteer firefighter in 1997. Remained an active volunteer for 17 years with this department until hired Fulltime in 2014. Through continued training and astounding work ethic, I have regularly promoted within my department, reaching my current position as Battalion Chief in July of 2023. I have recently taken on the role of Codes Enforcement for our Town as well, helping ensure compliance and safety of facilities, homes, businesses and other structures within our town which in turn ensures the safety of our residents, employees and visitors when in or around these places. I also Volunteer with a one of our County district fire departments and also our Carroll County Rescue Squad, performing all needed firefighting duties with our county department and numerous specializations with our Rescue Squad including Vehicle extrication, grain bin Rescue, rope Rescue, wilderness search and rescue and instruction, water Rescue, boat operations for dive Rescue, body recovery and assisting with fundraising efforts. In addition, I have began my journey into higher level, All-Hazards Incident Management, completing the All-Hazards Operations Section Chief course in the Spring of this year(2024).
