I saw the need for financial guidance early in my career, as a professional baseball player. My former professional some baseball teammates were people who had, in a sense, “won the lottery.” Unfortunately, 80% were either bankrupt or in serious financial distress within two years of leaving the game. This was a cautionary and foundational experience. I learned early on that even if things went well, careers in baseball are often short-lived, and require expert-level financial planning to preserve and grow wealth long-term.From 1998-2001, I had the opportunity to be both a professional athlete and an intern at Northwestern Mutual. Since then, I’ve accumulated over 20 years of experience. I coach an amazing team of financial representatives, advisors, and leaders.
