Brian is a Senior Principal and Senior Project Manager with over 25 years of experience in the fields of environmental compliance and occupational health and safety. He has a broad range of industry experience providing compliance assistance to academic, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and utilities clients. With a background in environmental management, and policy development, he is known for providing environmental audits with practical compliance solutions, training programs that focus on each company’s needs, EHS plans/programs that are compliant yet allow operational flexibility, and superb EHS documentation.His audit experience includes nationwide audits as part of corporate audit programs, as well as audits at individual facilities and sites as part of an audit team, as an audit lead, and as a solo auditor, which has required that he be responsible for all EHS regulations included in the audit scope. Many EHS audits also include a management system conformance assessment based on corporate policy initiatives and ISO standards. These assessments are designed to determine if management systems have been properly implemented and evaluate the ability of each facility’s internal management structure to ensure the continuing sustainability and effectiveness of the EHS programs.Many EHS regulations require that written plans or programs be developed and implemented. Brian routinely prepares spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plans; hazardous waste contingency and training plans; stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP); emergency action and fire prevention plans; emergency response plans under 29 C.F.R. § 1910.120(q) ; hazard communication plans; chemical hygiene plans; and integrated contingency plans. He is also an experienced teacher and trainer specializing in adult learning. He works with clients to develop training presentations and learning materials that integrate with management systems to fully implement required EHS programs.
