Oversee and maintain safe and efficient train operations for the PATCO High Speed Line. Troubleshoot train issues, clear and cancel wayside signals, control rail switches and de-energize/re-energize traction and signal power remotely from a central control center referred to as Center Tower. Issue power clearances for repairs and contractor work on both 600v DC and 26.4kv AC circuits and apparatuses sourced from both PSEG & PECO power feeds. Coordinate and oversee track outages for scheduled track work between departments on a 24/7 operation timetable. Ensure accurate departure times and coordinate on the spot unforeseen train troubleshooting issues in order to least inconvenience ~20k daily riders. Alert and make notifications to NJSSOA, the NTSB and the FTA regarding urgent safety issues/violations within a 2hr window. Operate PATCO trains in revenue service monthly and/or as required. Responsibly manage having complete authority over all mainline track areas and ROWs in both a team-oriented and solo setting.
