Senior Targeting Officer for the 1st Infantry Division. Managed the division's targeting process (a staff integrating process linking intelligence, planning operations to most efficiently achieve operational goals across various timelines) on behalf of senior leadership in both exercises and while deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Inherent Resolve during 2016-17. Provided subject matter expertise and recommendations on resource management and requests for additional assets to meet senior leader objectives.

I provided training and coaching for Army staffs during five training iterations per fiscal year, sixteen in total while at the Mission Command Training Program. My responsibilities ranged from facilitating pre-exercise seminars on numerous leadership topics and staff processes; observing training and providing immediate feedback during multi-week, simulation-driven events; and working with contracted analysts to build formal after-action reviews, take-home packages, and feedback to higher Army organizations to propagate lessons learned across the organizational structure. The primary staff process I trained and observed focused on bridging transitions from planning to operations, incorporating the needed intelligence guidance and collection requirements, developing recommendations for delivering effects across the organization’s assigned areas of responsibility and operations, and briefing senior leadership to gain approval and provide assessments.

Supervised the maintenance of three different radar systems worth in excess of $25 million with an additional $8 million in repair part stocks. Responsible for the training and certification of a 43 member team.Synchronized staff efforts to meet commander's targeting objectives in both combat and garrison environments. Integrated the data available from multiple information collection systems, processed that raw data into knowledge and understanding, then recommended the best technique to achieve desired end states effectively.Successful integration required the ability to brief senior leaders in person and across distributed, collaborative systems. Routinely worked with only a desired end state/goal and intent as guidance; entrusted to work the details within that broad guidance.
