About Michael Reed
I'm a retired Army Sergeant Major with 31 years of service in the Infantry, having been twice selected for brigade command sergeant major. My goal is DoD-associated public sector work in the immediate Fort Benning area. The majority of my service has been with heavy forces, where I've been able to exploit my master gunner training in training management and training development. In my current role I bring practical experience to influence stakeholders in capability development and in generating useful feedback from the force. I've put my master's degree in Public Administration to practical use multiple times, allowing me to effectively develop and interpret survey data, and communicate the implications of such data to my seniors. I'm happy in an individual contributor role, though I prefer to work as a member of a team.As an aside, I gather older books, evenly divided between fiction and history- and conflict-oriented non-fiction, and my wife and I have a surprisingly unpleasant cat.
