Business Intelligence Team• Spearheaded deployment automation of Denodo infrastructure on Linux-based Google Cloud VMs using Ansible and Terraform, configuring startup scripts, MySQL metadata databases, and secrets vaults for UKG Pro data source credentials, enabling seamless data integration for reporting tools like Looker, Cognos, and Conversational Reporting AI.• Led onboarding and knowledge transfer for the Noida-based team, advancing Ansible playbook and Denodo configuration development, ensuring smooth project execution and timely delivery.• Directed monitoring and reliability efforts for BIDataService, a C#-based API, integrating DataDog for uptime checks and Grafana for performance dashboards, and implementing email-based error threshold alerts. Configured log-based alerting for critical errors, enabling proactive issue resolution and minimizing production downtime.• Developed a streaming response feature for Conversational Reporting (CR), a Spring Boot application delivering Looker visualizations in response to Bryte AI-detected reporting queries. Implemented Server-Sent Events (SSE) for incremental responses, enhancing the user experience and reducing perceived wait times.• Integrated TREX (customer/tenant registration service) and TROX (tenant-service routing platform) into Conversational Reporting, enabling routing to OPP AuthN (SSO authentication) and configuring GCP and Kubernetes service accounts, ensuring secure communication across UKG services.• Contributed to the success of Conversational Reporting, which received customer acclaim as a top feature. Platform Data Warehouse Team• Served the Omni Analytics platform data warehouse team by configuring automated deployment pipelines for GCP infrastructure (continuous deployment, automated testing, etc.), as well as contributing to their batch ingestion system.• Worked on migrating the team's GCP infrastructure to the larger DataHub engineering team's GCP infrastructure, setting up DataHub GCP environment stages/targets and standing up deployment pipelines using Terraform.• Created a utility application using Java SpringBoot for attaching CMP ingestion metadata and PII tags using Data Catalog to identify sensitive data to be encrypted.• Developed and deployed API endpoints for a Kafka event streaming test case generator application using FastAPI libraries and Docker.• Set up log-based alerting using GCP Alerting and PagerDuty for Slack alerts for pipeline failures and incomplete processing of data.• Used Python’s Airflow libraries to dynamically modify the scheduling of batch ingestion jobs for each of our client company and for our own Slack/email reporting regarding job success/failure details.• Utilized Kanban and Scrum methodologies in a team of about 10 engineers.
