Responsible for the oversight and management of the Engineering Department as it pertains to; direction, projects, and task orientation. Managing the development of new methods and design procedures for continued airworthiness of life support systems including cargo restraints and evacuation systems. Overseeing all designs and approving all projects including new and redesigns as well as revisions. In addition, responsible for delegating all work to draftsman and engineers as well as meeting all necessary drawing deadlines. Developing all reports and manuals required to obtain FAA Approval prior to implementation. Conducting weekly team meetings to keep projects on track. Acting liaison for all engineering aspects between the company and the FAA, and there Designee's as well as Military and civilian customers.

Responsible for overseeing and leading all new designs and development of engineering projects for Cargo Restraints, Interiors as well as Life Support Systems and Evacuation Systems. Acting liaison between the company DER’s, DAR’s DMIR’s and Federal Aviation Administration.

Responsible for all designs and conceptual development of engineering projects for Cargo Restraints and Interiors, including Life Support Systems and Evacuation Systems. Acting liaison between the company DER’s, DAR’s and DMIR’s. In addition to engineering responsibilities, I was tasked with the oversight of Cargo Restraints Department and the management of facility operations which entailed meeting regulatory requirements, meeting customer requirements and needs, negotiating contracts, estimating quotes and processing orders to meet customer needs.

Responsible for developing all designs including Cargo Restraints, and Inflatable products while maintaining engineering department’s technical data for use in the shop process of repair, maintenance and production. In addition, performed routine inspections as a department Inspector. Checked drawings and assemblies with calibrated tooling to meet tolerance for appropriate form, fit, and function. Worked directly with shop supervisors and mechanics to rectify manufacturing, assembly, and testing issues as needed. Developed and issued ECN’s to incorporate additional necessary changes as needed. Developed preliminary inspection processes to prevent non-conformance issues, reduce waste and excessive costs in compliance with ISO and BAC regulatory requirements to assist in keeping the company ISO9001 certified. Conducted various case studies and performed destructive testing to product designs. Developed prototypes for mock-up and preliminary inspection / testing cases.
