My position plays an integral part in determining the patentability of technologies as well as managing current patent applications between our office and the United States Patent.

My primary responsibility was to assist the Associate Vice President for Research Administration and Compliance in ensuring research compliance with national export control laws. Specifically, I reviewed research projects and research personnel (including principal investigators, lab assistants, and visitors) conducting said projects to assure compliance.
