I am currently a Senior Modelling Expert at EWEC in Abu Dhabi, utilizing PLEXOS and other modelling tools to deliver quantitative insights for strategic planning and investment decisions. With over six years of experience in energy modelling, my career has spanned both consulting and the utility sector.Previously, I was a Senior Manager at EY, where I worked across various Australian energy markets and grids, including the National Electricity Market (NEM), the Western Australia Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM), and the Darwin-Katherine Interconnected System (DKIS), using bespoke in-house optimization models replicating real-time dispatch engines. At EWEC, I focus on detailed short-term modelling, capacity expansion planning, stochastic resource adequacy modelling, and leading quantitative analyses to support commercial decisions.My career is driven by a commitment to supporting the transition of the electricity and water sector towards decarbonization while balancing security of supply and costs. I am passionate about solving optimization problems and developing bespoke models that provide actionable insights and support informed decision-making.I hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with First Class Honours from Queensland University of Technology. My education included international courses in renewables in Singapore, Germany, and Denmark, complemented by practical industry experiences in Singapore and the Queensland Power sector.
