I am responsible for maintaining and improving the SaaS infrastructure that is built upon Amazon Web Services. I'm in charge of administrating all of the internal systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, file servers, SVN, and PBX. Basically I take care of any IT needs outside of Software Development.So far I have accomplished the following while at eFileCabinet:- Added monitoring solutions to our AWS environment to help track system utilization.- Reduced our total number of servers needed to run our SaaS environment.- Successfully migrated the office phone/internet to another provider to get improved reliability, more features, and save costs.- Added efficiencies in the office to improve workflows such as predefined server images for task specific requests.- Implemented an industry standard Incident Response process to streamline communication during times of an outage or serious issue.- Migrated our Amazon infrastructure into VPC from EC2-Classic.

Responsible for maintaining and deploying updates to our systems and applications. Our applications are hosted on a variety of operating systems including Windows Server 2003/2008, Linux and Unix. I'm also responsible for maintaining internal dependencies with other organizations' data stores. This also includes maintaining firewall rules, shared directory permissions and updating database connections. Our applications have a 24/7 need to be running, so I have been on call in case there are any hiccups to the applications. Also due to the 24/7 aspect, I adjust the time updates and other changes are deployed that might cause adverse business impact to occur at non peak times. Some of the applications are localized, but most are used internationally. Before I make any changes to productions systems I go through a change control process where I document what change is taking place, the time frame, and get approval before implementing any change. I also provided tier 2 and tier 3 support for our organization and would troubleshoot application issues. I have also been involved in maintaining one of our PCI environments. I helped with a massive upgrade to help improve the PCI SAQ rating thus reducing the time and energy involved in staying PCI compliant.

I was responsible for deploying a standard Windows desktop solution of Windows XP and Windows 7. I provided desk side support and helped with software installations, updates, and upgrades. I helped maintain, organize, and track our inventory of users' hardware. I used Remedy to track help requests. I was the go to person to work through odd computer issues and problems. The users that I supported were in multiple locations.

I provided quality assurance testing for the Novell ZenWorks product. My responsibilities included designing test cases, documenting issues, and coordinating with software developers to verify issues were resolved. While there I learned and participated in the Agile development process.

Provided computer support to the faculty and staff of the Religion Department. Our policy was that if they could hook it up to a computer or install then we supported it.
