As Faith Ministries sought to grow its impact locally and across the world, I was asked by the leadership to create and fill a new web communications role. My previous experience as a webmaster and member of a marketing committee, my technical knowledge from nearly a decade in IT, and my interest in photography, had laid the groundwork for me to establish this new role. I led a significant upgrade of the web presence for Faith Ministries. This upgrade was far more than a simple visual update to a website. It included a complete overhaul of 10 web sites under a common design (I worked with a marketing agency for this), establishing social accounts for several ministries and distributing the workload of managing the accounts, migrating to a new e-commerce system, selecting and implementing an email newsletter system, creating several blogs, and significantly increasing photography and video production.

Lafayette, Indiana Area

Served on the technology team to support a number of ministries including a school, community center, church, counseling center, and more. Duties ranged from system administration to user support. I brought improved automation to the systems to more efficiently manage software, services, and settings across hundreds of computers. I also led the department's entry into virtualization in an effort to simplify our infrastructure and reduce costs. Having learned in my previous role how much of an impact IT operations can have on a company, I focused on automation and organization in order to make the biggest impact with the fewest resources. From automation of labor-intensive reports, to deploying a help desk system, I assisted in growing the department's capabilities to support a growing organization.

Watertown, Wisconsin

Led the university-wide IT Department to provide all information technology services to students, faculty, and staff.Led a campus-wide network infrastructure migration from Novell Netware to Microsoft Windows, to allow the department to more cost-effectively provide modern services. My staff and I were responsible for server and PC acquisition and maintenance, lab maintenance, network security, student support, faculty and staff support, classroom technology and media services, and coordinating other technical services for myriad university functions.

Watertown, Wisconsin

Taught Microsoft Excel, College Algebra, and College Mathematics.Maintained the university's website and served on the marketing committee. Led the architecture and coding of a course evaluation system for the university. Served as a help desk technician, troubleshooting a wide range of hardware and software problems and assisting in computer lab management.
