Served as the Senior Intelligence Officer (J2) to the Commanding General of Special Forces Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (SOJTF-OIR). During this combat deployment, SOJTF-OIR provided direct support to the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Force that was the lead element for defeating the Islamic State's occupation of Western and Northern Iraq. As the J2, I advised the Commanding General on intelligence operations and analysis required to assist the Iraqi forces resulting in the successful defeat of the Islamic State in the city of Mosul.

Served as an action officer and a subject matter expert on US government counter-terrorism sensitive operations advising the Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Director of Operations to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Represented the Department of Defense with interagency and National Security Council partners on matters pertaining to sensitive activities. Was responsible for gaining operational approvals from the Secretary of Defense for sensitive special operations through the Secretary of Defense Orders Book process.

Served as the 506th Infantry Brigade, 101st Airborne, S2X and Assistant Brigade S2. My primary responsibilities during this time period was ensuring continuity in intelligence support to operations, information sharing and preserving staff systems while the brigade rotated out of Eastern Baghdad in the Fall of 2006, and later was responsible for planning and executing intelligence analyst and HUMINT specialist training while the brigade prepared for an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.

Served as the company commander of a 100 soldier company of intelligence professionals. I was part of a command team with my senior NCO who was responsible for the health, safety, welfare, morale, training and mission execution of the only direct intelligence support available to the 506th Infantry Brigade in Eastern Baghdad from Dec 05 to Sep 06. As the commander of the MI Company, I also served as the Brigade Commander's advisor and subject matter expert for intelligence support for HUMINT, SIGINT and TUAVs. In addition, I was responsible for ensuring the accountability and serviceability of over $10 million in equipment.

Served as the Brigade Assistant S2 where my primary responsibility was assisting the Brigade's intelligence personnel and systems for an upcoming combat deployment to Iraq.

Served as the Battalion Intelligence Officer (S2) for 3rd Bn, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and the Battalion MI Detachment Commander for 24 months. 15 of the 24 months where spent in Iraq on two separate deployments to include the initial invasion of Iraq and was among the first forces into Baghdad. Primary responsibilities included collection management, area assessments, daily intelligence product production and providing daily intelligence assessments to the commander and supported Special Operations Detachments throughout Iraq during three different phases of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Also served as the lead driver for the Battalion TAC and a combat advisor for Albanian Commandos conducting mounted and dismounted patrols in Mosul.Training included Advanced Special Operations Training Level II (ASOT II), Reid Institute (interview and interrogation training), and a National Training Center rotation.

Attending the MI Officer Transition Course, MI Officer Advanced Course, and MI Officer Signals Intelligence Course at Fort Huachuca. Also attended Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3) at Fort Leavenworth.

Served as the Executive Officer of a 120 man light infantry company at 1st Bn, 25th ID(L) in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Served as the Adjutant and senior Human Resources officer of a 400 man infantry battalion. Responsibilities included ensuring timely and effective evaluation reports and awards processing for all soldiers in the battalion. Participated in a battalion deployment to Japan where I was responsible for planning, organizing and executing a social event in Japan for over 1,000 participants.
