Principles of Singapore Business Law is a textbook used in the teaching of Business Law or Contract Law by non-law students at University level. Following the second edition, student feedback had revealed that they were experiencing difficulty in readability; the chapters were written by lawyers with decade-old experience and are highly proficient in writing legalistically that the audiences are foreign to.In the third edition, I had the privilege of working proactively with Author Prof Loo in reviewing the contents prior to publication and suggesting changes to ensure readability. The paraphrase of legalistic jargons and use of visual aids are the main tools used in the review and it is my pride and honour to be approached by Prof Loo to work as the only student reviewer.

I love Suits. They dramatise and glorify a career in law. Well, I wasn't anywhere near being in law school but I'm lucky that Business Law is a core module for all students in my school and that was my only chance at getting a glimpse of what studying law would be like. It was a module feared by most students but I went into it eager-eyed.It was a painful module. I never did well linguistically as far as I can remember my schooling years but I was interested in what I was learning and grit my teeth through it. I learnt how to read legal texts and started to appreciate the beauty of language. I did well in the module and eventually became a Teaching Assistant ('TA').In my journey as a TA, was excited to share my knowledge and provide coaching on their group projects. It was fulfilling seeing the eyes of the students glistened with excitement when they finally understood the concepts the texts were trying to convey.

I dislike boring, time-consuming, error prone manual administration. I prefers things to be done as efficiently as possible with as much automation as possible.I've had the opportunity to be part of the firm's process optimisation project and increase my proficiency in Excel while I was at it. When combined with API, we were able deploy automation to the company's product-ordering process, cutting down turnover time significantly. It felt amazingly satisfying.
