With over 20 years of executive search and advisory experience, Brian is well known for his thought leadership surrounding the challenges and opportunities across the broader industrial market with deep domain expertise in Aerospace, Defense, and Government/Public Sector (ADG). His primary focus is on retained executive search for Board and C-suite leaders. Market expertise includes Space Systems, Defense Electronics, Aerospace & Industrial components, AI/ML tech, and government contracting. In addition to leading the firm's Industrial and ADG practice, Brian manages the Capital Region office and leads the training and development of new Associates. Under his leadership, NorthWind has grown from 7 to 28 team members and has the most extensive ADG practice in North America (measured by revenue or people). ExecutiveBiz named Brian one of the top ten GovCon Executive Recruiters for 2020 and 2022. Brian has completed over 600 executive searches for public, private, and PE/VC-sponsored companies. Brian is passionate about aligning the executive talent his clients need to drive the creation of new enterprise value. His track record of successful execution is based on a deep understanding of how to systematically map and evaluate a market for each unique search he leads, a foundational element of NorthWind’s Absolute Alignment™ Process. In addition, Brian is an experienced private equity investor as an LP and part of the NorthWind Investments team. This affiliate invests and co-invests with NorthWind Partners clients for true long-term alignment. Brian has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Towson University and an MBA in International Business and Marketing from Loyola University in Maryland. Brian met his wife, Kimberly, an Optometrist, during a routine eye exam. They live in rural Southern Maryland with their four young children.
