WAN/LAN Networking - I have worked on networking since 1980s My WAN experience consists of working on a large corporate network consisting of a 6Mb ATM Frame relay network connecting The Wall Street Journal's 17 print locations and several T1 point to point circuits connecting the our facility to the other main production facilities. I am proficient with Cisco and Bay Networks routers and switches. I have experience working with EIGRP, OSPF, RIP and a solid understanding of IGRP and BGP routing protocols. I have a great deal of experience troubleshooting networks and working with carriers. I am a Cisco Certified Network Associate and currently working towards acquiring my Cisco Network Professional Certification; Satellite Communications - Orlando Print Plant Site Administrator for 17 node 60 MB national private corporate network. System Integration and Implementation - Experience implementing systems, working with our engineering department, outside vendors, technical support staff and end users to develop system requirements. Training - Managed the Dow Jones National Training Center for the Technical Services Department from 2001 to 2008. Worked with system vendors to design training systems and documentation for all systems used in the remote site prepress operations. Instructed courses. These systems included a UNIX based data distribution system, Sybase databases, AIX based image processing systems, high end facsimile equipment and all related networking systems.System Support - 20 + years of national level system support experience for the Dow Jones Corporate network and 17 domestic print plants for all systems used in daily production of the Wall Street Journal. Manufacturing - Lead technical support for all production systems used in the daily printing of the Wall Street Journal, this includes Unix based automated printing press control systems, PLC control systems, and electromechanical systems.
