I've worked on experimental computer systems for the U.S. Army since 1987. Started consulting for Help desk positions in 1993. Trained by the Army to configure routers, switches and other networking devices in addition to building IT networks. Worked in IT at many Fortune 500 companies (AT&T, Lockheed Martin, GE Capital, etc.) Recently worked for CNL Financial Group until Oct 2014 on their Network Operations team as a Senior Systems Administrator where I was responsible for server maintenance, new platform implementations, systems security upgrades and enforcement. Also recently worked for Red River Computer Company remotely as a Datacenter Deployment Engineer. In this role, I installed Cisco Flexpod systems for federal and commercial customers, installed Cisco UCS stand-alone systems with RHEL for Splunk installations for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and Dept. of Health and Human Services and upgraded the MS Exchange Server environment for the New Hampshire Dept. of State. Presently working at Leidos (formerly SAIC) as a Enterprise Windows Administrator where I previously worked as the SME for SQL Server cluster administration. Duties included insuring that the Windows Failover Clustering is stable, the SQL Server instances are balanced between the cluster nodes and creating a revised Disaster Recovery plan after a migration to a new, more secure datacenter. I also worked on the File and Print team where I setup and maintain shared network resources for the user community to include Distributed File System (DFS) links to multiple files servers, SANs and NAS devices as well as auditing and storage cleanup.
