• Responsibilities included working with product management, collaborating on solution architecture with multiple scrum teams within Freight Management product line, evangelizing best practices and principles, recommending new technologies, developing proof of concepts and assisting when teams were blocked• Volunteered to serve as team lead for iOS development team, which was struggling with turnover and lack of senior experience. Was able to quickly get up to speed with Swift while helping recommend common development practices and principles to improve team velocity and morale.

• Awarded the IT "Innovation" award for the 4th quarter of 2018 for my role in developing a responsive web-based messaging application to allow account teams to send and receive text messages with the carriers booked on their loads. The tech stack included .NET Core API's running on Service Fabric in Microsoft's Azure platform with an Angular 6 interface. SignalR provided WebSocket communication to keep team members' views of the conversations in sync in real time.• Developed an SSIS package that processes 3rd-party fuel charge data and automatically creates expense items within our internal Transportation Management System for many of the company's larger customers. This process saves account teams up to an hour each day.• Awarded the IT "Reducing Costs" award for the 4th quarter of 2017 for the development of our electronic rate confirmation system. Over the course of approximately 1.7 million loads in 2017, this system conservatively saved brokers 2500 collective hours of effort.

• Advocated for and piloted the use of Octopus Deploy for reliable, automated application releases. After demonstrating the benefits, the tool was adopted by 4 other development teams within the organization.• Assisted another internal development team by rewriting a particularly poor performing AngularJS page, speeding up the page load significantly while also reducing the number of lines of code by about one half.• Developed a platform for systematically replacing pieces of the legacy internal freight management system (WinForms) with a single page web application using Web API and AngularJS.• Contributed to ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the company's internal freight management system. The application is a mission critical, legacy WinForms system that has been in place for more than 15 years.

• Developed a proof-of-concept, cross-platform, hybrid mobile application using Ionic Framework, Cordova, AngularJS, Azure Mobile Services and MongoDB for use in a patient engagement study.• Developed a proof-of-concept system to allow patients to share third-party data, from wearables and other connected healthcare devices, with their healthcare providers using ASP.NET MVC, C# and MongoDB.• Worked with a small team of developers to create a tablet-optimized, single page application (SPA) to aggregate and simplify the tracking of key patient risk and flow information by integrating with the hospital's electronic medical record system. The system uses a SQL Server database, C# Web API back end with Entity Framework for data access, an AngularJS user interface and signalR for pushing real-time data updates to users.• Developed a status board system for the Transportation team to allow for the tracking of current and upcoming patient transports. Features included integration with Google Maps to get travel estimates, including possible traffic delays, and the use of signalR to ensure that all users were viewing the real-time status of each team. Project responsibilities included all software development lifecycle activities.• Maintained and enhanced a custom performance management system that allowed managers of clerical staff in the division of Emergency Medicine to track employee occurrences, maintain notes about issues and discussions and audit and analyze key metrics related to critical data entry. Developed several SSIS packages to integrate medical record data and Peoplesoft data into the system.

• Received a Silver "Simply Excellent" award for leading the technical design of a platform for the company’s future modeling and analytical tools against a very aggressive timeline.• Developed multiple Rich Internet Applications, using Adobe Flex with C# web services, which integrated into the company’s primary online survey system. These applications enabled the business to expand its’ marketing research capabilities and be more efficient in existing services.• Conducted independent research into object-oriented design patterns and developed a series of departmental learning presentations to share knowledge.• Developed a workflow process tool for the data entry team responsible for managing new product data. The tool pulled data from multiple databases, displayed up-to-date information regarding key contacts and project statuses and integrated with a major in-house analytical application. • Worked with a team of 5-7 others to rewrite an aging key analytical application using SQL Server and Visual Basic .NET doubling the capabilities of the existing application and allowing the business to expand the core data collected during standard marketing research studies.• Led a team of colleagues in an effort to research and develop departmental testing standards and best practices.

• Served as lead IS project member for firm-wide deployment of InterAction 5.1 Client Relationship Management program. Duties included working closely with a consultant during data cleansing and initial setup, design and custom configuration changes, system administration, training for technical support staff, final level of support and all custom development, including Microsoft Office integration.• Developed a web-based Evaluation application using Visual Basic, SQL Server, Crystal Reports and Active Server Pages. The system replaced the existing desktop Attorney Evaluation program as well as the paper based Paralegal and Staff Evaluation processes. Project responsibilities included working with internal client to define requirements, designing the database structure, designing the system architecture, all coding, testing, documentation and support.• Developed COM Add-In for Microsoft Outlook to assist attorneys with state required Electronic Court Filing process.
