Brianna has a love for both people and the earth. She thrives when it comes to working with other people as an extroverted person. She has always loved conducting research in the sciences, especially those of which are concerned about the earth and its wellbeing. Brianna has always wanted to conduct her own research, which is why she has applied and been accepted to the Keck Geology Consortium as an advanced student and she has also applied and been accepted to being a Hackman Scholar for the Summer of 2020 to do research on earth sciences as well. She has developed strong communication skills while working in customer service.She has worked on a team of house advisors at F&M College as well as joined the leadership team of one of the larger clubs on campus where she built strong teamwork and leadership skills by coordinating events and mentoring others in their journeys throughout college, especially helping those in their first year of college.Most recently, she has started an internship with Coast of Maine to analyze soil samples, from compost, and I observe and log the quality of soils with leading competitors, while also reporting results to her supervisor. Additionally, she has been performing research on compost heaps and the usage of the thermophilic phase to generate heat to accelerate biogas generation in methane digesters during the cold, winter months.
