• Managed profitability of Nissan’s commercial vehicles (NV, NV200, NYC Taxi; $1B in annual revenue) by coordinating product development, product planning, and pricing activities.

• Recruited and led 10 direct reports in Nissan’s first effort to verify and align production capacity at over 180 component suppliers, in preparation for the launch of the 2014 Nissan Rogue.Results: Eliminated supplier.

• Interfaced with customers and dealerships to research and diagnose product issues and advise on specific service techniques, resulting in 20% increased levels of customer satisfaction and business retention.
• Developed a partially automated noise and vibration testing system, trained its operators, facilitated the system’s installation, and supervised its utilization leading to a 2% increase in plant production quality.
• Awarded ‘Technology and Innovation Award’ (February 2006) for a cross-platform solution to a multi-subsystem issue by synthesizing inputs from functional experts and implementing focused changes.

Hermosillo Assembly Plant, Hermosillo, Mexico

• Led an international team of engineers, technicians, mechanics, and unionized laborers to outperform our benchmarks in noise and vibration performance, cost, and quality on two new important product lines.
• Negotiated with a cross-cultural team of suppliers, engineers, union officials, and company leadership to positively influence the development of a $15 million infrastructure investment in the paint facility.
• Supervised knowledge transfer and best practice adoption from the NA Engineering Center to the Hermosillo Assembly Plant staff, contributing to a 25% improvement in quality and a best-in-class product.

Dearborn Development Center, Dearborn, MI

• Negotiated with a new foreign supplier to win a contract to source a major product sub-assembly for a major project revision, resulting in a $3 million annual cost savings and a 5% increased level of quality.
