Home Builders Care Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides donated construction expertise to other non-profits that provide shelter. We are the official charity of the Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA). Our core activities bring together two key stakeholder groups in our communities -professional home builders and trades nonprofits organizations that help support the homeless and others at risk. ​With each project, we invest in our non-profit partners’ program efforts via our in-kind contributions of construction services and they in turn invest in the continuation and expansion of services to help keep vulnerable populations safely housed and on the path to stability. From simple renovations to large builds, we are able to save our non-profit partners thousands in construction costs through the power of Builders Giving Back.​

Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC), formerly Christmas in April, provides small and large-scale home repairs, accessibility modifications, and energy efficiency upgrades at no cost to low-income homeowners in Montgomery County. These services help our county’s most vulnerable residents live safely, securely and independently in their homes.For 24 years, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County has served more than 1,900 households - touching the lives of families with children, individuals with disabilities, veterans and the elderly.Our safety net services are provided in collaboration with individual volunteers, nonprofits, skilled trades professionals, businesses and government partners. In fact, RTMC mobilizes nearly 1,500 volunteers each year, engaging them in community service and educating them on home maintenance and preservation. Through a series of interactive sessions, participants are challenged to learn about and experience leadership by evaluating issues, considering thought-provoking viewpoints, and examining leadership styles. Leadership Montgomery, a member of the Association of Leadership Programs, has over 2,000 graduates and participants, from its Core, Senior, Executive and Youth programs, actively involved in the community serving on State, County and nonprofit boards and committees.
