The scope of work includes the audit of existing prevailing practices in Indian Grid and providing recommendations in line with international bench-marks in Power System.Additionally, the work involves preparation of guidelines for protective relay co-ordination in Pan-India transmission network.

As the lead engineer in the Grid Management department I am responsible for economic, secure and reliable operation of National Electricity Grid of India.The job profile involves event analysis for all the major events across the national electricity grid. The event analysis aims to identify the protection system mis-operations and suggest the remedial measures thereof. In case of a loss of generation or load, the assessment of the primary frequency response available in the Indian Electricity Grid is carried out.The feedback is provided to regulatory authorities for remedial measures to reduce the incidents of protection system mis-operation.

Regulatary Affairs and Public Policy As Secretarial function,managed the life cycle for the projects submitted for grant from multimillion value Power System Development Fund of Ministry of Power, Govt of India. The Job description included techno-economic evaluation of DPRs, Cost engineering, project management, development of MIS procedures, conflict management, public policy, regulatory affairs.

As the Site Manager, my responsibilities included execution of the projects for Installation of Fixed Series Compensation and Construction of a 765kV Substation with 3000 MVA Transformation capacity. The interests of all the stakeholder were protected through timely completion, maintaining the estimated cost and the quality standards.The job requirements ranged from the technical aspects of substation construction, to the complete domain of project management knowledge.
