My first job after finishing trade school was a landscape material yard in Southern New Hampshire. At the time I did not realize the type of work I was doing or how I was developing skills that are fundamental to me today. I was hired as a CDL driver and tasked with loading customers trucks, restocking yard materials, and making deliveries. I was trusted with managing the shop and ensuring that all deliveries were scheduled, and money collected. In every spare moment I would be crunching numbers trying to figure out the cost per yard of material and how much profit was made. I constantly brainstormed ways to advance the business, find more efficient ways to improve the process of loading without wasting material, and identify unnecessary risks that could damage the customers vehicles or property. I enjoyed working with the owner to implement the ideas I came up with. I now know that the habits I formed at the age of 18 laid the foundation of my work ethic and naturally my identity as a business professional. I have always taken on a leadership role throughout my career as a CDL Driver and now Branch Manager. I enjoy coaching others to be their best selves. I encourage feedback from my team, and I am continuously willing to implement new ideas and strategies. Solving problems and gathering information is one of my strengths because of this I have high expectations and always believe the glass is half full. Everyday I look forward to learning new concepts, skills, and business practices so that I can apply them to whatever career path I take.
