No matter the career, I enjoy working in environments that I can use my natural positive energy while making a difference for the people and animals. A small portion of my responsibilities include: Checking in patients in a professional and friendly manner. Escorting patients into rooms and assisting doctors. Ensuring all clients are admitted and discharged promptly. Filling pharmacy requests swiftly and accurately. Answering phones on a multi-line system. and taking phone calls for records requests, scheduling appointments, and answering all other inquiries. Managing and organizing files along with communicating with other clinics for records. Handling emergencies quickly while following OSHA and hospital policies.

As an animal care specialist I work with animals to try and create a clean and loving environment to better their shelter life until they find their forever home. My day to day consists of not only working with the animals in our care but also with my team members. While being not only a specialist, but also team lead, I help create and manage employee schedules, help cover office responsibilities whether answering phones, copying documents, interviewing potential adopters and creating a safe work environment. While caring for the animals on site, I educate team members on what behaviors to expect from the animal being worked with, create activities that help stimulate the animals cognitive and natural abilities, all the while making sure their basic needs are met.
