About Brooke Bailey

21 countries later, I am back in California and excited to find a job where I can put to use and further deepen my communication, analysis, organization, management, and editorial skills. I received my BA in English from California State University, Chico with a 3.8 GPA and studied abroad at the University of Bristol for my final year. I enhanced my tutoring and teaching skills by interning with CSUC’s ESL (English as a Second Language) Support Services and leading an ESL workshop. I tutored in a variety of subjects during my high school and early college years, and before that, my passion for learning and teaching led me to develop creative educational activities for children while babysitting and caretaking. I also worked on the staff of two literary magazines -- the American River Review and the Watershed Review, which advanced my ability to edit writing and literature. In addition, I have extensive experience in customer service and the restaurant industry and am adept at synthesizing complex, fast-paced work environments with shifting priorities. I am a fast learner who has experience self-managing and managing a team.
