I am passionate about building equitable and connected communities, where everyone has their needs met and feels a sense of belonging. I aspire to work on the development and implementation of community-led solutions to pressing concerns that prioritize accessibility, justice, and lived experience, including through asset-based community development and social planning processes. In November 2024 I completed an MA Geography degree at the University of Toronto, and I am now actively seeking a full-time role in Vancouver, BC that involves research, policy analysis and development, community engagement and collaboration, and/or capacity building. I would be excited to work in any field that relates to building more just and sustainable cities, including those focused on poverty reduction, social connection, climate justice, housing affordability, food security, and Indigenous sovereignty.Across 5 years of work experience, I’ve developed skills in community engagement, workshop facilitation, research and data analysis, writing reports and resources, volunteer coordination, and event planning. I hope to continue to develop my knowledge of anti-oppressive and participatory approaches to this work, as I believe that the process of fostering positive change - including whose voices are included and how - is most critical.
