Dane County is the second most populous county in Wisconsin and home to the State Capital and the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Brophy started out prosecuting misdemeanor and traffic violations and ended up managing a staff of approx. 128 attorneys, paralegals, investigators and support staff. He oversaw the investigations, prosecutions, budgets, personnel matters and public outreach the position required and worked to implement programs and policies to both increase public safety while decreasing the need for prosecutions and incarceration.
