Through a mixed role as a field and an office engineer, I managed, coordinated and supervised construction processes from the conceptual development stage through final construction for private and public sector civil and heavy highway projects with values up to $20 million. Additionally, I was a member of the technology steering committee and a major player in smoothly transitioning the company to electronic processes addressing COVID-related industry challenges.Project Owners included County of Marin, California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD), City of Novato, City of San Rafael, City of Larkspur and Town of Corte Madera.

Additionally, I led environmental compliance initiatives for the company.Project owners included California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Cal Maritime, City of San Rafael, City of Concord and Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD).• Collected, analyzed and reported on data for various built and natural environment compliance programs to prevent pollution of various forms for the protection of public health and existing structures• Created and implemented a companywide water quality monitoring plan and training documents, in compliance with the NPDES construction and stormwater permit, to eliminate illicit discharges and protect vital ecosystems• Contributed to project success by generating project specific documents, efficiently procuring materials, maintaining budgets, interfacing and collaborating with stakeholders, negotiating business arrangements, ensuring quality assurance and control and maintaining a professional work environment.

Prepared documents, coordinated schedules and monitored activities in support of construction processes from the conceptual development stage through final construction for private and public sector transportation, water processing, utility and airport projects with values up to $13 million.Project owners included Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), City of San Francisco, City and County of Alameda and Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).• Produced site specific work plans detailing each project activity’s procedures, schedule, engineering controls, safety concerns and contingency plan to ensure transparent communication and stakeholder acceptance• Procured submittals and materials, created and managed RFIs, supported subcontractors and field crews and monitored construction activities to execute projects within contract requirements

Supported the EPSA State, Local, and Tribal Cooperation team with research and analysis deliverables, which were largely focused around property assessed clean energy (PACE) and state-level plug-in electric vehicle initiatives. • Supported stakeholder engagement and cooperative activities via research, drafting memoranda, and performing logistical tasks related to the first Quadrennial Energy Review (QER).• Engaged in regular policy input meetings of businesses, industry groups, and state and local partner organizations to measure the accuracy and success of the analysis and policy recommendations offered under the QER.• Reviewed Commercial PACE legislation and developed a comparative analysis of the PACE models, which provided data and resources for publication on the Department of Energy PACE website. • Developed a trends analysis of recent energy policy advancements at the state level in the electricity sector, which was used by policymakers in stakeholder meetings. • Measured the success of state and regional policies and initiatives in promoting plug-in electric vehicles, resulted in an interactive resource being utilized by various Department of Energy Offices.

Nurtured a culture of sustainability on campus, turning a passion into action, by leading and supporting a diverse set of sustainability initiatives aimed at completing goals outlined in the Purdue Sustainability Strategic Plan. • Acted as liaison between undergraduate and graduate student teams and staff in the pursuit of LEED® Operation and Maintenance certification for two existing campus buildings• Collected and analyzed campus wide data measuring sustainability performance for AASHE STARS• Contributed to a research project to monitor student housing and academic building waste diversion rates, which resulted in a proposal that won grant funding for the installation of landfill diverting infrastructure• Supported volunteer recruitment, operations, and innovation for The Black & Gold & Green football tailgate recycling program which resulted in improved diversion rates and high volunteer turnout• Managed social media profiles and the website content which increased traffic flow and engagement• Supported the campus farmers market on-site operations from setup to takedown, ensuring happy vendors and customers• Contributed to the creation and managed logistics of a pilot campus bike-share program• Supported the student group Eco-Reps@Purdue with resources to promote sustainability

Led educational nature hikes aimed at connecting students of all ages with their natural environments to both develop a sense of stewardship and provide a meditative experience.
