Bruce Berman is Managing Director of Brody Berman Associates, a management consulting and communications firm that works with innovative businesses and investors. Since 1988, Brody Berman has provided 200+ companies and creators with business development, transaction and litigation support, as well as more than 80 law firms and their clients.Bruce is co-founder and chairman of the Center for Intellectual Property Understanding, a nonpartisan nonprofit that raises awareness about the impact of IP on people, business and society. CIPU provides outreach to improve IP awareness and promote sharing. He is responsible for five books about the business of IP, including From Ideas to Assets. His Intangible Investor column, now a regular feature on IPWatchdog, appeared in every issue of IAM magazine from 2003 to 2019. IP CloseUp, a weekly update on trends that he publishes, has generated more than 400,000 visits and is read in over 60 countries. The podcast series he produces and hosts, 'Understanding IP Matters,' is in it fourth season with over 8,000 downloads. Bruce has mentored young entrepreneurs in Colorado, Kenya and Uganda. He holds a masters’ degree in cinema studies from Columbia University, where he taught for four years in the graduate program and completed curriculum and comprehensive requirements for the Ph.D.In 2023, Brody Berman celebrated its 35th year in business.
