“Bruce makes everything he’s involved with better.”That statement, a recurring comment taken from my annual performance reviews, is a good one-sentence summary of how I work and what I’ve accomplished. I’m a marketing generalist, problem solver and leader who can organize and inspire a team on an entirely new operation…but also a creative thinker that consistently comes up with clever ideas to reinvent aging products and processes. I coined the term "Brain-ambidextrous” to describe how I work: compulsively organized & detail-oriented…yet extremely creative with an easy-to-work-with sense of humor. Put another way: I work creatively inside the box…but first, I want to build the box.As a Marketing Communications specialist, I have a knack for converting “complex” to “simple”. I love the challenge of creating innovative tactics that break through to an audience that doesn’t think that it has time for you or your message. As a Leader, I’m a player’s coach* and bridge-builder, with a track record of developing and leading motivated and productive teams. On a more personal level, I’m all about the family with an amazing wife and three great kids in New Rochelle, NY. I stay active on my bike, feet, and snowboard. I’m active in my community and neighborhood association for which I’ve edited our monthly newsletter, The Back Fence, for the past decade. I’m a homebrewer (specializing in IPAs) and make my best effort to enjoy the sunset every day. When we talk, ask me why I’m afraid of squirrels…I’ve got a good story.*You can’t work at ESPN for 20 years and not include a few Sports metaphors 😉
