Bruce Wright has been the Senior Scientist at Knik Tribe since 2012 (bwright@kniktribe.org). When he lived in Juneau he was the Chief of NOAA’s Office of Oil Spill Damage Assessment and Restoration and visiting professor at the University of Alaska. These positions allowed Bruce to research bald eagles, orcas, sharks and other predators and resulted in the publication of Alaska Predators, Their Ecology and Conservation. Bruce manages the paralytic shellfish poisoning and harmful algal bloom projects in the Aleut Region, was the APIA energy program manager and is working with the Department of Defense on site clean-ups in the Aleutians with Environment Alaska (bruce.environak@gmail.com), a company he owns.
