At present I am working as part of a HSE team for the construction and commissioning phases of a large pharmaceutical project, primarily focusing on the Electrical discipline of the project. Reviewing and approving risk assessments & method statements for all Electrical construction and commissioning activities. Working closely with our Commissioning Team ensuring all policies and procedures are being adhered too always.Organizing and executing pre-start up safety reviews (PSSR) for all process and site-wide utility systems.Delivering our Electrical Safety program to all site employees that require to work on live or potentially live electrical equipment.Ensuring all site personnel adheres to the current project HSE plan.Working alongside our electrical commissioning team managing LOTO and coordinating the energization plan for our electrical systems.

Working for Jacobs Engineering as a QA/QC line walker & part of a Turnover Team.Manage QA/QC interface with the Client on all aspects of QA/QC for the duration of the project.Work closely with Electrical Lead to ensure the electrical sub-contractors are meeting the required dates for system handovers as per the system start up matrix (SSM).Construct & manage a schedule of system walk downs for system handover by the electrical sub-contractor. (Shakedown & Mechanical Completion walks)Assist / Coordinate the preparation of the sub-contractors final handover documents such as QA/QC documents, Walk down packs for MC, Test-packs, and commissioning reports etc.Ensure the EIDA software system is used as the primary tool for management of the QA/QC process on site. ie. Test packs, TTOP’s, VTOP’s and raising & closing punch items.Answering and delegating RFI’s with the Electrical Lead and design team raised by the sub-contractors on a daily basis. Attend weekly sub-contractors meeting to review Safety, Quality, Procurement, Construction, Progress & Schedule.

Working with Jacobs Commissioning Team to meet deadlines & achieve yellow/blue tag dates on a Data Centre Project.On a daily basis I am constantly liaising with the client on different challenges and design issues of the job.Overseeing all of Dornan’s LV and control cable testing.LV authorised person in charge of all Lock Out Tag Out procedures.Overseeing installation and commissioning of UPS system.Constantly studying electrical drawings and as-building/ redlining drawings.Witness the Testing and Torqueing of all LV cables, HV cables to transformers, standby generators & Electrical Panels.Overseeing the installation and testing of control cables in BMS and PMS panels.Reporting back to Dornan Management on any RFI’s to be raised with the client about variations and issues on the job regarding commissioning and testing.Reporting back to Dornan management on daily labour reports and any shortfall of test equipment needed for the jobs ahead.Witness the Testing of low voltage instruments and control cabling.Also heavily involved in final hand over of test packs and TOP’s to achieve the final FR date.
