Last year, I moved from Ashford Kent to Bexhill – On – Sea. Having reached a point with the renovation works on my house, I am ready to focus on my career.

Working for Pearson TQ as a Plant Trainer, I devised, improved and delivered training material based around the construction industry. Typically running between 1 day to 2 weeks , I have delivered training to military personnel working on our main contract at 1 RSME for the Royal Engineers, construction contractors at our other training establishment at Swanley, as well as Pearson TQ clients abroad. Topics included various types of mobile plant and small tools, CAT and genny, deep excavation, Macadam, concreting and soil stabilisation.• Updated and revised training for countless lessons which where outdated and needed bring in line with current legislation and training needs.• Phase lead on two subjects as well as learning and being the second instructor for other subjects.

Directly employed by Costain as a Foreman assisting with supervision on larger projects, followed by leading multiple projects (ranging from £200,000 to £8 million) at Hampton water treatment works overseeing civils and M&E subcontractors. The day to day running of the site includes liaising with the client, overseeing direct labour and sub–contractors to ensure they are compliant with HSE policies and standards by conducting audits, daily briefings, inspecting quality of workmanship, arranging labour, materials and plant when required, mentoring junior members of staff and teaching how to complete tasks safely and to a high standard . • Organised and delivered work under tight deadlines to hand over a refurbishment of sand washing plants on time to the client.• Having supervised my own sites for the last 3 years, I have had no recorded injuries on site.

Served with the Royal Engineers stationed at Waterbeach near Cambridge as a Plant Operator Mechanic in a specialist airfield damage repair squadron. Deployments included an airfield based construction task in Italy, a complex road construction task with the American forces in Saudi Arabia and a four month tour of the Falkland Islands to conduct airfield damage repair as well as routine maintenance and construction tasks.
