• Perform and document investigations into vehicle accidents, employee injuries, incidents, and near misses.• Perform drug and alcohol testing on-site for all new hires, rehires, reasonable suspicion, and appropriate randomly selected employees. • Possess strong working knowledge of Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration regulations.• Possess working knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.• Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.• Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing company wide OSHA/DOT programs.• To initiate, coordinate and manage all the OSHA/DOT related tasks within the organization.• Audit compliance of all branches and field operations with OSHA/DOT protocols and training documents.• Supply each branch with weekly safety meeting agenda and monitor compliance.• Maintain compliance and training at remote branches.• Responsible for producing and maintaining all government forms.• Available to respond to emergency situations.• Complete all Crash, Incident, and Cause Hazard Assessment forms. Follow up with an investigation and/or corrective action. • Monitor each Facility’s compliance with OSHA/DOT and State regulations.• Able to meet with government officials and contracting companies safety personnel in the event of an audit.• Make proposals to upper management with regards to the budget and long-term goals of the DOT/HSE department.
