During my nine years as Chief Financial Officer at Jefferson Regional, I had executive responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting and management from establishing and maintaining internal controls and oversight of the monthly close to reporting results to the Board of Directors and successful completion of annual external audits. Projects included tax-exempt debt issuance and compliance, financial modeling, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle and ERP software conversions. In the Chief Administrative Officer, I had oversight of governance activities between the Board of Directors and senior executive; legal affairs, including contract review and management of relations with outside counsel; Human Resources, with specific focus on health and retirement benefit plans; Information Technology, including serving a year as the de facto Chief Information Officer; and the Jefferson Regional Foundation. Projects included significant expansion of the 340B contract pharmacy network, creation and management of a captive insurance company, creation and management of a clinically integrated network for population health management, and oversight of a payroll system conversion.
