CDPH-certified HIV/HCV test counselor. Independently provided risk reduction counseling to both high and low risk members of the community and administered their HIV and/or Hepatitis C OraQuick rapid tests on-site. Participated in and offered HIV/HCV testing at various outreach programs throughout Orange County, including AIDS Walk.

Volunteer in the HIV Testing Department of ASF. Responsibilities include Testing Clinic office work. I am certified to administer HIV and HCV tests. I am also certified to give low risk counseling. I did supervised high-risk counseling under the current HIV test counselors.

Intern under the Cancer Genetics department. My biggest project was recruiting patients for the Lynch syndrome screening program. I shadowed the genetic counselors, inputted computerized pedigrees, and attended interdisciplinary tumor boards. I also help with office tasks such as faxing and filing.

Teaching assistant for Professor Anthony DiStefano, Ph.D. for one section of his "Transdisciplinary Views on HIV" course and four sections of his "Epidemiology" course. Responsibilities include leading class discussion, answering student questions, and providing support to students.

First-hand experience in the field of epidemiology with the Orange County Health Care Agency. Worked on MS Access databases collecting Influenza data for the 2014 - 2015 flu season. Learned basic form creating and other data collection methods.

St. Mary Medical Center, Long Beach, CAWorked on the Medical/Surgical floor, the outpatient psychiatry, and the inpatient pediatrics floors. Helped nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff in providing patient care, including but not limited to, feeding the patient, washing the patient, and transporting the patient.

Worked in the front desk of oral maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Lee at his office in Orange, CA during the Spring 2014 semester. Filed EBOs, made charts, and occasionally scrubbed into surgeries to observe.
