Oversaw the growth and expansion of new retail locations by evaluating, selecting, and coaching new franchisees in target markets. Providing consulting services to the new locations in areas including operations, marketing and customer acquisition, financial management, and employee development. Developed and implemented Balanced Scorecard for retail locations across company with Key Performance Indicators in areas of Customer Acquisition, Operations, Financials, and Customer Experience. Led company-wide Customer Experience study with over 11,000 participants, and provided analysis and subsequent implementation of new strategies and policies that increased sales and customer Net Promoter Score.

Raleigh, North Carolina

Managed P&L for $20MM product line of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and managed power distribution units (PDUs). Conducted marketing and Voice of Customer analysis to launch new products and update product line as necessary. Used Pareto analysis techniques to reduce SKU count and improve overall product line profitability.

Cleveland, Ohio

Supported Office of Senior Vice President in charge of $2.5B of revenue for Fluid Power products. Provided market and financial analysis (Discount Cash Flow models) for M&A team, including lead on $20MM acquisition. Worked with SVP to create all internal and external presentations, including quarterly and annual reports to market analysts.

Detroit / Minneapolis

Supported Director of Business Development in identifying and cultivating large-scale new business opportunities for $2.5B Fluid Power sector of large industrial company. Led marketing efforts for hydraulic-hybrid large vehicle powertrain, including participation in trade shows and features in publications and television programs. Authored and successfully acquired large grants from federal and state funding for environmentally-friendly product commercialization. Wrote internal company white papers describing ways of capturing new revenue in adjacent markets with existing technology.

Charlotte, North Carolina Area / Queretaro, Mexico

Applied LEAN and Six Sigma practices to increase throughput in production area. Supported transfer of operations from facility in North Carolina to Mexico, including working with automotive companies to sign off on operations in Mexico.

Glenview, Il

Provided engineering and VA/VE services to business units from corporate R&D center. Projects included successful redesign of concrete screw to solve torque issue and redesign of gas-driven nailer for wider operating temperatures. Combined one project with graduate-level course at Northwestern using Finite Elements modeling to reduce cracking issue of cold-formed metal product, increasing production yield.

Evanston, Il

Interned for two summers at Chicago office of leading product design firm. Assisted engineers and industrial designers in mocking up and testing prototypes, including building rudimentary models in machine shop.
