My team and I have been focused on improving data availability through integrations with Snowflake as well as updating our systems to allow dynamic, real-time access to retail insights through curated dashboards. Our efforts have added (and continue to add) clarity and transparency for our customers, both internal and external, to really understand the nature of their data. I joined a team of engineers working to get a financial system integration over the finish line. I was able to sit down the business analyst team as well as our accounting departments and understand the architectural challenges involved in rolling out a new system. Getting this released involved everything from manually writing out T-Charts to balance ledger accounts to performance tuning our queue system to make sure we could hit our release benchmarks to validate our financial systems before… Show more I joined a team of engineers working to get a financial system integration over the finish line. In this role I assisted with optimizing and improving our internal tools used to build the core products within the Jack Henry brand. My primary focus has been on user experience improvements, quality of life enhancements, and reducing issues. I was responsible for developing a new dialog editor to replace the existing dialog editor for our InstallShield 2012 release. I mostly focused on using native code, such as C++, as well as a customized form of XAML syntax the team had designed prior to me joining. In this role I focused on identifying and resolving developer issues as they created packages using the Windows Installer platform with InstallShield and AdminStudio. I focused on developing and improving installations for our existing customers as well as securing sales for trial customers by helping them become accustomed to the complex world of installations.
