As Chief Growth Officer and a founding member of Combined Arms, I lead our mission to modernize state veterans’ services by leveraging the Combined Arms Technology Platform to create data-informed, strategically focused states. As the Executive Director of Technology and Innovation, I am responsible for the direction of Combined Arms Technology products. I am also responsible for creating a culture of innovation within Combined Arms, and among our partnerships with State Departments' of Veteran Services. Both roles are entirely dependent on listening to the needs of our users, aligning business priorities, then designing or optimizing solutions for them.

I run the Technology Department of Combined Arms and operate as the chief national consultant to cities and states endeavoring to implement a CRM-based environment for their social impact business operations. As the Product Owner, I focus our technology on measuring and improving the Social Determinants of Health across cities and states. I manage product conception and design, product development, implementation, user acceptance testing, evaluation, reporting, and maintenance of all Combined Arms products in all of our markets.As the chief national consultant, I am responsible for advising stakeholders and executive leadership on strategic growth, operations, reporting, system-wide collaboration, contracts, due diligence, and program design. I unite disparate systems under one technology for citywide and statewide enterprises.

I served as our company’s first national expansion manager. I taught communities how to implement quality assurance standards, conduct due diligence, create performance measurements, data-driven collaboration for social impact, mass communication planning, collaborative system coordination, produced technical writing for training modules for all users, and facilitated innovation sessions.Led daily operations of the DevOps team as the Product Owner and Scrum Master, utilizing Jira and Confluence software to run Agile project management. I served as a technical writer and lead trainer.

As the Director of the headquarters office, I supervised the performance and professional development of four critical program managers who oversaw social work programming, community leadership programming, wellness programming, and collaboration strategy management – regarded as the team running the best-in-class “collaborative services” model in the United States.Designed and directed the entirety of our annual convention from concept to completion resulting in the year-long goal setting for 7 collaboration committees comprised of 58 nationwide public and private organizations focused on Employment, Mental Health Education, Socioeconomic Mobility, Caregivers, Social Impact, and Special Immigrant Visa (Iraqi & Afghan Interpreters).Restructured internal staff policies to modernize project management methodology, specialization of roles, communication policy, and structural organization.

I Managed the Chairmen and Chairwomen of 7 collaboration committees charged with executing the “2019 Collaborative Master Plan” comprised of 15-SMART Goals co-created by 40+ nonprofit organizations.Served as the Accountability Officer for 54 nonprofit organizations. Advised member organization leadership on strategic improvements, performance enhancement, collaboration, and client acquisition. Lead logistician and program content designer for annual conferences of the regional veteran-serving ecosystem.Performed the due diligence investigation of all 50+ applicant organizations seeking to join Combined Arms.

As the first employee of Combined Arms, I conceived a method of brainstorming between all 40 organizations coined the “Collaboration Committees,” which are forums for collective problem solving and strategic fluidity resulting in a quarterly adjustment to our collaborative strategy. I went on to establish all 7 of our committees.Applied Salesforce data analysis to advise over 40 member organizations on strategic approaches to client demographic trends, enhancing program services, client volume increase, program efficiency, and end-user feedback.Wrote technical documents on standard operating procedures for Combined Arms, including fiscal procedures, operations, collaboration methodology, etc.Maintaining financial accountability in QuickBooks and delivering scheduled and custom reports to the Finance Committee.

I was responsible for managing our company’s whole book of broker sales and business development.An integral part of growing commercial sales 150% in 2015 by drastically increasing the volume of broker partnerships for Veteran Energy. Initiated the Independent Agent program, and took the lead in negotiating terms, recruiting, training, and mentoring Independent Agents in the sales process, marketing strategies, and contract negotiation.Acquired multiple TV and radio advertisement opportunities that developed the expansive reach of Veteran Energy to all ERCOT markets.

Analyzed sales data, and individual employee performance to create an hourly call system that increased outbound sales calls by 40%.Responsible for leading daily meetings, planning weekly training schedules, and reporting sales team metrics to management.Achieved salesman of the month for June of 2014 during the first month of employment, and two more months since.

Managed mutually beneficial relationships between LSVA and media outlets, business affiliates, donors, colleges, Houston Astros, Houston Texans, Houston Rockets, and membership.Responsible for all external communication to over 6,000 members and the public via social media, press releases, and official website publications.Ran Development through fundraising events, corporate grants, social media marketing, and corporate sponsorship.

Managed an $80K State grant, overseeing expenditures, preparing and submitting accurate financial reports to the Texas Department of State Health Services.Authored a 16-hour training program to certify veteran peer-to-peer mentors. Managed all recruiting, training, and operational coordination of 18 certified peer-to-peer mentors.

• Earned a fellowship with “The Mission Continues” after submitting a business plan to improve veteran unemployment in Houston, Texas, by pairing a monthly professional networking luncheon with job skills training• Initiated the Warrior for Life program, which links the local business community with Post 9/11 veterans seeking career opportunities. Grew the program by 66%, resulting in 75 veterans being hired in a six month period• Recruited expert instructors to enhance employability of veterans by offering courses in resume writing, interviewing tactics and networking skills • Responsible for accumulating monthly corporate sponsorship to generate revenue to support and expand the Warrior for Life program• Professional development mentor to recently transitioned military veterans seeking careers
