As Exploration Manager at Ormat Technologies, I oversee the US Exploration program, focusing on discovering new geothermal resources. Leading a skilled team of geoscientists, we foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and effective problem-solving. Our work combines fundamental geoscience principles with the latest technology to discover and appraise new geothermal fields. We also play a key role in strengthening Ormat’s Project Management Organization and promoting a culture of continuous learning within the wider resource team. Over the past year, we have conducted continuous rig campaigns, driven by the growing market demand for reliable, zero-emission geothermal energy. We have successfully driven down geothermal exploration costs by >70% in our US portfolio. Our efforts are aimed at meeting this demand while advancing our goals of sustainable and innovative resource development.Additional skills include environmental permitting, NEPA process, interconnection and transmission, carbon credits, procurement, supply chain, sourcing, project management, operations, and people management.

Suriname and Regional Exploration Geologist: • Geologist on NOJV exploration well in Suriname. • Responsible for maintaining and high-grading prospect inventory on Block 42 in Suriname.• Conducted regional studies on trap and seal analysis, reservoir quality prediction, deepwater stratigraphy, basin analysis, and structure/tectonics• Co-authored and published a technical paper called “The Structure and Tectonics of the Guyana basin” in the Journal of the Geological Society of London. • Operated as a “Citizen Data Scientist” within the company after completing Hess Analytics Academy. Capstone project utilized supervised machine learning to classify source rock organofacies using tricyclic terpane biomarkers. Ongoing work to incorporate mixed samples into model. • Liaised with Exploration Data Science Team to develop deep learning model to auto-pick subsurface channel belts using 3D seismic data.
