In February 2021, I assumed the role of EE Team Lead while continuing my role as Senior Electrical Engineer. My main additional responsibility has been to manage the workload and responsibilities of the other members of the EE team by working with upper management to help allocate new projects to the team. I have also been responsible for improving our internal electrical design process. Specifically, I have integrated improvements to our design process to integrate our internal PCBA assembly equipment, implemented a more formal review process including review checklists, introduced standardized formatting of our design files and fabrication/assembly outputs, and improved our design process by increasing our use of the tools Altium Designer has to offer.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, I developed custom electronics solutions for our clients ranging from battery management solutions for low voltage battery packs to high density AC/DC charging solutions for battery-powered devices.

As a member of the UX and Mechatronics team, I worked closely with product designers, software engineers, and mechanical engineers to conceptualize and prototype innovative ideas for the future of automotive mobility. I have led small, innovative project teams developing engaging user experiences for identified needs. My tasks included include both the organizational responsibilities of a project manager, the strategy and product vision responsibilities of a product manager, and technical lead for prototype development.As an embedded systems engineer, my work consisted mainly of architecting custom electronic and software control systems to bring project visions into reality. This includes schematic design, PCB layout, and firmware of embedded systems, C# GUIs for PC-based control systems, and mechanical design of demonstration hardware or automotive integration. As a project lead, I used the Agile project management and design methodologies, including stand-ups, Kanban boards, timelines, brainstorming sessions, product definition documents, and user experience storyboards.

As an Engineer II, I acted as technical lead or lead electronics engineer on many interior and exterior design concept projects. My responsibilities included developing robust custom electronics and software control system solutions for our hardware prototypes. I designed a variety of solutions ranging from motor and linear actuator specification and control, touchpads, and Android apps using MQTT.

As an intern, I developed electronics solutions for multi-axis, brushed and brushless motor driver and control, single touch sensor-based input elements, basic object recognition using OpenCV, and a C++ Windows Forms control application.

Master's in Mechanical Engineering (MSME)Focused on Mechatronics and Product Design.

My team designed and produced telescopes that take pictures of the Sun for environmental research. My job consisted of supporting the electrical team by developing test procedures and testing the operation of circuit boards in our telescope, and putting together control plans and other contract documents required by our customer.

For two years, (August 2007 - May 2009), I worked as a Research Assistant in Dr. Reichert's lab in the Biomolecular and Tissue Engineering Center at Duke University. While there I studied the viability of a novel method of conducting bypass surgery. Specifically, the project consisted of growing a layer of endothelial cells on the interior of a synthetic graft. I studied the optimal culturing methods, differences between cells derived from different subgroups of people, and adhesion rates of Neutrophils (a precusor for blood clotting).Experiments:Design and assist in experiments optimizing culturing procedures of vascular grafts seeded with endothelial progenitor cells by measuring shear strength of seeded cells. Measured capability of cells to form capillaries using Matrigel. Examined neutrophil adhesion levels to seeded endothelial layer using differing neutrophil concentrations.

During the summers of 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008, I worked as an intern at the Lockheed Martin Solar and Astrophysics Laboratory, which is part of the Space Systems Company Advanced Technology Center in Palo Alto. While there I completed various projects including software testing and correction of a camera malfunction under certain conditions and the design and construction of a clean tent.Summer 2007:Assist Solar X-ray Imager Department with Software and Hardware development and testing.Summer 2008:Assist Solar Ultra Violet Imager Department with Circuit Board design and contract document generation.
