The InterNational Electrical Testing Association – NETA (https://www.netaworld.org/) – has appointed Bryant Phillips as Executive Director, according to an announcement made by NETA Board President Eric Beckman, National Field Services, Lewisville, TX, at the Board of Directors and Membership Meeting held recently in Lahaina, HI. Through these appointments, Beckman said the Board has recognized the importance of strengthening NETA’s resources and capabilities, noting the surge in investment capital underscoring the value of NETA Accredited Companies, a burgeoning interest in NETA standards from international markets, and citing NETA’s aggressive focus on strategic expansion of both membership and member services. “Bryant’s background includes success as a CEO in the power generation space and as an executive of operations for a NETA Accredited Company,” Beckman said. “His track record includes success in strategic planning and execution, board leadership positions, staff development, and expansion into international markets. The Board is pleased to onboard Bryant’s unique credentials and professional experience to complement the organization’s current leadership team and direct this exciting period of opportunity for NETA.”According to Beckman, advancing the international standards for acceptance testing and maintenance, broadening membership outside of NAFTA; expanding relationships with branches of the US Armed Forces to offer training and technician preparedness as they transition to civilian life; and increasing education and entry-level opportunities to increase the technical workforce represent key areas of opportunity for NETA. The International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) is an ANSI Accredited Standards Developing Organization that creates and maintains standards for electrical commissioning, acceptance testing, and maintenance testing for electrical power equipment and systems, as well as a standard that addresses the certification of electrical testing technicians. NETA also serves the electrical power industry as an accrediting and certifying body for electrical testing companies and technicians.
