As a Community Support Worker at Mencap, I provide individualised care and support to adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs, in collaboration with other local services and agencies. I have developed skills in communication, personal development, and mental health advocacy, and have contributed to the improvement of the quality of life and well-being of the people I support.I am also a third-year BSc Nursing student at the University of Lincoln, specialising in mental health nursing. Degree Classification July 2024. I have gained valuable experience and knowledge from various placements in different settings, such as community, rehabilitation, forensic, and acute care. I have demonstrated competence in medication administration, risk assessment, recovery-based interventions, and mental health legislation. I am passionate about learning and applying evidence-based practice to enhance the outcomes and experiences of people with mental health problems.
