Crescent City Family Services is dedicated to providing nutrition services, health referrals, and education to families, particularly women susceptible to high-risk pregnancies and birth outcomes. Through program implementation, Crescent City focuses on prevention and intervention methods by responding directly to the community needs, reflecting in high instances of maternal mortality and morbidity concerns.As a Data Analyst Intern my role included• Provided technical support in implementing a Healthy Start Quality Improvement Plan.• Assisted the food pantry in providing essential food items to local families.• Performed administrative duties, i.e., data entry and data quality assurance.• Assisted with database management and provided a timely completion of monthly and annual reports for Healthy Start.• Participated in community outreach events. • Assisted families with Medicaid applications.• Provided diapers to families in need each month via the Diaper Bank Service.

• Conducted research virtually in a medical center laboratory under the mentorship of the current University of Rochester School of Medicine faculty• Created a research poster board and virtually presented my research findings.• Attended weekly anatomy lectures, seminars, labs, and activities • Participated in problem-based learning sessions to enhance my critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Supported study sessions and/or review sessions during office hours.• Helped reinforce foundational concepts of Biology 1230 & 1240.• Created review guides for students to assess their knowledge before upcoming test.• Conducted weekly tutoring hours.• Attended mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.
