UNLEASH Plus is an innovative 6-month social entrepreneurship incubator aimed at fostering and scaling impactful solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. UNLEASH Plus supports early-stage social entrepreneurs who have already built an initial solution and tested it with users but need access to the global networks, approaches, tools, and resources that will help them reach their intended impact. Since 2019, Plus has supported 320+ social impact ventures from 100+ countries focused on all 17 sustainable development goals, with 100% of participants in 2022 recommending the program to other participants.Responsibilities as Co-Lead (in collaboration with our phenomenal UNLEASH team), - Lead the co-design process resulting in a 6-month social entrepreneurship incubator for 45 teams in 2023 with direct and ongoing user feedback to create maximum value for Teams. - Design a unique sprint methodology that combines lessons learned from systems thinking, human- centered design, and agile approaches to help Teams progress towards product-market fit while creating substantial social impact.- Source 370+ applications in 2023 from early-stage social entrepreneurs, from 80+ countries, tackling challenges in every sector.- Evaluate applicants for product-founder fit, problem understanding, user testing and validation, impact potential, and more to select the top 45 Teams to join the program. - Manage the implementation of the 6-month program, including planning and facilitating virtual “Checkpoints” with Expert workshops, 1-1 Mentor engagement, and peer to peer collaboration to ensure Teams progress towards product-market fit.- Co-design and co-implement an intensive weeklong in-person event for the top UNLEASH Plus Teams (to be held in Kigali, Rwanda in 2023) to engage with Experts and Mentors to progress their solutions, culminating in a pitch competition for the top Teams to receive financial support.

• Supported the capture, design, and writing of over 35 D&G proposals in a variety of roles across local governance, civil society strengthening, and accountability.• Provided technical assistance to over 20 D&G projects to implement political economy analyses, problem-driven iterative adaptation, people-centered justice (PCJ), and more.• Contributed to the writing and dissemination of 17 technical pieces regarding D&G, including PCJ, thinking and working politically (TWP), and local governance.• Organized 15 trainings, 3 brown bags, and 9 internal and external events on D&G technical approaches for project staff to improve D&G programming based on cross-project learning. • Drafted the 2021 and 2022 annual strategic work plan and budgets of over $160,000 each.• Led research efforts with USAID to gather lessons learned from Chemonics’ entire D&G portfolio to inform our approach to TWP.

The Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project in Nigeria provides procurement and supply management support and technical assistance to a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the health supply chain to ensure the uninterrupted supply of health commodities across Nigeria. The project delivers over $200,000,000 of commodities and $40,000,000 of technical assistance annually to over 10,000 facilities focusing on four key health areas, HIV/AIDS, malaria, family planning, and child and maternal health.• Assisted in managing and forecasting our annual budget of over $250,000,000 and developing our annual work plan for 6 separate donors.• Led a team of 7 to review 3,000 health supply deliveries, analyzing the challenges and needed improvements to data management, and summarized findings in a report to USAID. • Wrote and managed cost-plus fixed fee contracts with key implementation partners including evaluating performance and reviewing monthly invoices and annual budgets.

• Led the development and launch of Vize to create transparency and accountability in the labor market for low wage jobs in Tijuana, receiving over 3,000 reviews of working conditions.• Developed the product, sales, and marketing strategies with rapid cycles of prototyping, user feedback, and quantitative analysis using agile project management methodologies.• Managed a diverse team of 10 staff members in Austin, Texas and Tijuana, Mexico using weekly scrum meetings and monthly one on one check ins for performance evaluation.• Participated in entrepreneurship incubators including 3 Day Startup, Silicon Valley Bank Trek, and Pioneer (placing in the top 2% of applicants out of over 500 applications).

LaborLink is an innovative technology allowing international companies to hear directly from their factory workers overseas. The workers simply call LaborLink's number and answer a quick survey about their working conditions. LaborLink then analyzes the data and makes it actionable. While social audit data is often inaccurate due to corruption and worker intimidation and expensive, LaborLink provides anonymity for workers and scalability for companies.As an M4D Fellow, I worked closely with the Global Operations and Communications teams completing projects such as,- Wrote two case studies on projects with the Walt Disney Company and Mattel- Created databases of all media mentions and potential communications opportunities- Conducted research on forced labor to inform an ongoing program in India- Created a training session on worker welfare in different contexts for field staff- Gathered 20+ resources for the WEST principles Resource Hub

The Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University seeks to improve the effectiveness of development programs and policies for conflict-affected and fragile countries through multidisciplinary research and education. The Center uses science and technology to: reduce armed conflict, sustain families and communities during conflict, and assist states to rapidly recover from conflict. My accomplishments included, - Wrote 5 literature reviews for development projects in conflict-afflicted regions- Gathered data on 14 development programs from field staff to produce quarterly M&E reports- Organized events for students on issues facing conflict-afflicted regions including a screening of The Man Who Mends Women for more than 160 people and a panel discussion with 3 experts

As an ambassador to FSD, I am using my experience founding SIID at Texas A&M University in order to create an implementations guide for other universities to create similar training programs on their campus. In addition, I am writing a proposal for an "FSD On-Campus" initiative in an attempt to spread SIID's model to other universities, supply FSD with better trained interns, and have an on-the-ground recruiting tool for FSD to find the most promising undergraduate interns.

Founded SIID, a year-long training program for undergraduate students in which 20 students will research, design, and implement their own international development project in one of ten developing communities around the world. Our mission is to implement sustainable localized solutions to systemic issues in the world’s most impoverished regions while providing an extensive training experience in international development for undergraduate students. As the Executive Director, my responsibilities included, - Consistently look for possible improvements to SIID’s training structure and curriculum that will help create greater outcomes for our members- Create formal feedback loops between the members, the staff, the advisors, and the faculty, and ensure the feedback is acted upon in a systematic way.- Create an effective method of measuring our student’s progress over the year - Continually develop innovative and cost-efficient marketing campaigns to spread SIID’s message to the broader campus- Discover new sustainable revenue streams that align with SIID’s mission- Identify and pursue potential partnerships that would improve the quality of SIID's training- Develop an annual strategic plan in collaboration with the SIID staffWhile leading SIID we accomplished the following goals,- Designed a hands-on training curriculum for the theory and practice of development- Organized 8 workshops for highly qualified development professionals to train our 9 members- Created SIID’s Impact Summit, a conference for approximately 50 undergraduate students in which 4 development professionals from the private and public sector discussed the challenges and opportunities in the development field.- Managed 4 staff members, 9 students, 4 graduate advisers, and 8 development professionals involved with SIID- Coordinated with key partners including the Foundation for Sustainable Development and Heifer International to provide our members with international opportunities

FLE is a California-based nonprofit organization that builds tools to bring online learning resources to communities with limited, expensive, or no Internet bandwidth KA Lite, our open-source offline-installable Khan Academy platform, is already being used in over 150 countries, in contexts as varied as rural schools, orphanages, community centers, refugee camps, prisons, and homes. My main project was to develop an Implementations Deployment Guide that used previous case studies of KA Lite implementations to help new organizations fully utilize KA Lite and adopt blended learning. In order to accomplish this task, I identified and contacted 8 deployments around the world in Guatemala, Uganda, India, and elsewhere. I traveled to Guatemala for 6 days in order to interview the students, teachers, administrators, and implementors of the project in order to discover their differing opinions on the effectiveness of the program. By comparing my interviews in each of these different contexts I was able to find common factors that led to their success and inform new deployments of KA Lite on best practices.

GCCA is an umbrella organization for four of the largest cold chain associations in the world. In total GCCA has more than 1300 member companies in 72 different countries, making them the dominant influence in the cold chain industry, providing networking opportunities, educational material, extensive industry analysis and much more. GCCA's goal is to lead the development of the cold chain throughout the world. For those that have not heard the term, the cold chain is the chain of linkages necessary to keep any perishable good such as food and pharmaceuticals, fresh from production all the way to the market. In developing countries, an estimated 30-40% of all food goes to waste before it ever reaches the market. GCCA is attempting to fix the breakages in the cold chain that make this number so high through their international development projects. By doing so, GCCA can improve the income of small farmers by increasing the quality of their products, introduce them to the global market, as well as improve nutritional standards by making certain perishable foods available throughout the year. My main personal achievements while working for GCCA include, - Conducting a pre-audit on over 12 international development projects, totaling over $1 million.- Writing a cold chain development proposal for a project in Oman for over $200,000 - Aided in the development of a business plan to find new revenue streams for international development projects

FSD achieves community-driven goals through asset-based development and international exchange in 10 sites in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. My accomplishments during this internship are listed below.- Reviewed and decided upon 5 international development projects that were to be implemented in 4 of FSD's locations around the world. - Conducted research on a potential expansion to China, writing a 35 page report on the most advantageous region to introduce a new site for FSD and an extensive risk analysis of that particular region.- Raised approximately $2,300 worth of in-kind donations from companies in the Bay Area for a silent auction fundraiser.
