About Andreas Bucher

As an AI researcher and fourth-year PhD candidate at the University of Zurich, my work explores the development and impact of AI systems. I’m interested in the nuances of human-AI interaction, especially how they affect self-determination, motivation, and engagement in users. Additionally, I serve as an external lecturer for AI and the future of work at the University of Public Administration and Finance Ludwigsburg. I have a master’s degree in informatics from the University of Zurich and a solid background in IT project management and consulting. Outside of academia and professional life, I’m passionate about sports. I coach the Freestyle Mogul Skiing team of the Bavarian Ski Association and the German Youth National team, leading them in international arenas such as the 2024 Youth Olympic Games in South Korea and the FIS Europa Cup.
