• Provide and model excellent customer services and hospitality assuring positive member and staff experiences.• Be part of the Planning Team for the department and work with department staff to maintain a creative, safe, and fun work environment for Maker Studio guests.• Provide leadership in the department in digital media services and equipment, acting as the go-to-person, training staff, creating and teaching informative and fun classes for the community, providing digital media support to the Programming and Outreach Department, and recommending equipment.• Act as the library’s Apple Expert recommending equipment, developing and teaching classes, providing one-on-one instruction, and teaching staff as needed.• Teach basic Maker Studio equipment certification; train and assist guests on Maker Studio equipment as assigned.• Work with the Department Head and Communications Coordinator to promote digital media services.• Create videos, audio, and screencasts for instruction and promotional purposes including social media; maintain the library’s YouTube channel.• Create and maintain documentation, reports, and statistics as assigned.• Provide technical and graphic support for the library website and the Foundation and Friends’ website; gather, study, and report on analytics; research website products for possible implementation; assist with development of the websites; train staff as assigned.• Provide support for digital media equipment throughout the library including in the meeting room, library displays, and kiosks.• Assist with set up for technology classes.• Learn new library-wide software and teach staff as assigned.• Research and test products for the Library of Things as assigned; develop recommendations.• Act as back-up for troubleshooting equipment and software as well as the telephone system and security cameras.• Assists with technology and maker related projects, as directed.
