in this role I assist in fostering a culture of strategic assessment to drive continuous improvement within the division of student affairs. I lead high-priority projects, manage strategic planning initiatives, and ensure alignment between student affairs programs and the academic mission. My role includes overseeing Orientation & New Student Programs, directing the Division of Student Affairs Curriculum & Assessment, and other university-wide initiatives. With a focus on quality improvement and effective communication, I build and maintain relationships within the university and the broader community.

Oversaw the inaugural Center for Student Involvement, home to 100+ student organizations, 10 fraternities, and seven sororities, serving over 3000 students. Planned and implemented annual large-scale (signature and traditional) events. Led and developed multiple training sessions on a monthly basis for groups of 10 to 100. Developed and led the university's new student orientation program (on-boarding event for over 1200 people annually). Recruit, train, and retain 100+ volunteers to manage events and training.

Oversaw the daily operations of the 202,000 square foot Harre Union (student union building).Supervised a team of five full time employees (Facilities Coordinator, Event Manager, Student Mail Center, Print Shop).Implemented process improvements to the reservation process that receives over 17,000 individual reservations annually.Developed online and in-person training for over 100 employees.Secure outside partners to host their conference at our venue brining in approximately $400,000 in revenue.

Developed and implemented a new volunteer training model for over 30 volunteers.Led and facilitated training sessions for over 1000 people. Led a team of 30 volunteers to conduct over 90 events annually including traditional signature events for the university community.Oversaw the operations of the student organization suite and university recreation room. Coordinated and developed the department's webpage and migration to WordPressFostered donor relationships with donors to fund several initiatives.

In this position I had the opportunity to coordinate the total operation of multiple residence halls totaling 300+ students. This coordination included everything from facilities management, community development, crisis response, and supervision of paraprofessional staff. I supervised 12 Resident Assistants and 1 Assistance Coordinator (undergraduate desk supervisor & RA). Within this role I also had the privilege of working in a collateral within Leadership Programs and Student Activities. This afforded me the opportunity to advise NRHH, coordinate leadership programs across campus, and teach a General Studies (GS 390) leadership course.

I served as a Graduate Hall Coordinator for University Student Housing at Texas Tech University for two years. In my position I had the opportunity to supervise Community Assistants in their programatic, community development, and crisis response roles. I also had the opportunity to advise a Complex Council made up of volunteer student leaders. In this position I had the opportunity to assist in the recruitment efforts of the department by screening resumes, conducting team and individual interviews, and attending a recruitment conference.

In this role I served as the Assistant Conference Coordinator for Sacramento State University's Housing Office. In this position I co-supervised both the facilities and housing aspects of conference services. In this experience I had the opportunity to manage a schedule for 20+ employees, coordinate camp arrivals and departures, and maintain room inventories and group charging and billing. I also served as the on-call live-in staff member for campus. One of our major projects was the World Master's Track competition where we coordinated a camp of 200+ participants from around the world.

Within this position I had the opportunity to supervise my peers and work in a leadership position. I managed a desk schedule and on-call schedule for a staff team of 14 employees. Using innovation and dedication I was able to develop a website for employee interaction, scheduling, and total desk management.

In this position I had the opportunity to work as an ACUHO-I Intern for the Harre Union and Summer Conferences at Valparaiso University. In my position I was responsible for coordinating the arrival, check-in, duration of stay, check-out, and billing of conference groups. During this experience I was able to spend some time working with the Office of International Education and work with them on their webpage.

In this role I had the opportunity to serve as the primary contact for a community of 40+ first-year students in a residence hall. My responsibilities included monthly programing, crisis response, and administrative obligations. In this role I had the opportunity to plan a campus-wide event called, Take My Voice. I was able to coordinate a staff team of 16 and bring Frank Warren, creator of PostSecret, for a lecture series followed by a silent march.
