Responsible for the effective supervision and administration of the water quality branch for all of SCV Water's retail divisions. This includes developing water quality monitoring plans, records management, budget preparation and oversight, selection, training, performance management, employee relations, prioritizing and assigning work and related activities. Responsibilities also involve communication with external regulatory agencies, as it relates to operational activities that may affect water quality or compliance with regulations.

As Senior Production Operator, I oversee seven employees that make up the SCWD Production Department. It is my responsibility to ensure a large distribution system meets all water quality standards, by directing source water and distribution system monitoring. In addition, meeting production demands through the operation of wells, boosters, and tanks, utilizing SCADA, and delegating field operations, are also my responsibilities. Furthermore, I fulfill the duties of regulatory compliance, scheduling and interpreting laboratory analyses, budgeting, and conducting water quality investigations. Lastly, I teach refresher courses to employees, to prepare them for Division of Drinking Water exams.

While working at NCWD, I received two promotions. I began as a Field Customer Service Representative with a large portion of my time focusing on a radio-read meter retrofit program and investigating customer complaints. Next, I received a promotion to the Maintenance Crew, where I performed a wide variety of duties that ranged from fixing water main leaks to preventative maintenance on Cla-Vals. In 2007, I received a final promotion at NCWD to Water Quality Specialist.
